The Rebel football family is mourning the loss of one of our very best teammates, Cristian Schmidt #18, 2017 Champlin Park graduate.

“Schmidty” was not the prototypical big player. In fact, many would say he was too small to play football.

However, what “Schmidty” lacked in size he more than made up with the incredible amount of determination, hustle, and most importantly heart.

There was never anything Schmidty wouldn’t do for a teammate or friend. When the game was on the line we all knew we could count on Cristian.

He truly was an example of what we want our players to become.
